Coaching

WHEN

It is always a good time to invest in your marriage. Coaching will make a good marriage better, a challenging marriage healthier, a transitional marriage come alive for the next season.

WHY

Avoidance of conflict is the number one predictor of divorce. Coaching allows you and your spouse to discuss the complexities of your marriage in the safety of a coaching environment.

WHO

Coaching is for any couple where both partners are willing to pursue greater intimacy. Coaching is for couples desiring to enhance the relationship—couples seeking to make a growing marriage better or couples in rough patches and needing some encouragement. We specialize in coaching leadership couples, whether in ministry or the marketplace.

WHAT

Our job as marriage coaches is to spend the time needed with a couple to genuinely hear and guide them to resources and tools that will make a difference, as soon as possible.

Relationship is everything

Our coaching is about connecting with you, as a couple and building a relationship with you, couple to couple. While there are thousands of useful resources out there to help your marriage, there is nothing that can replace the power of another human taking the time to walk life alongside you.

How Does it Work?

 

STEP 1

Reach out now!

If your instincts tell you that your marriage could use some coaching or counseling, don’t put it off. Send us an email or give us a call. We’ll answer your questions, set your expectations and help you understand our process. We are looking forward to getting to know you and your spouse.

STEP 2

Take the Couple Checkup!

The online Couple Checkup is a relationship assessment tool we use with all of our couples! The questions are tailored to you as couple based on the background questions you answer. It provides an informative and straightforward inventory of your relationship strengths and growth areas.

 

STEP 3

Get to know us.

It’s just as important for you and your spouse to get to know us as it is for us to get to know you and your spouse! We know that we can’t “fix” your marriage in a couple of hours, but what we can do is facilitate healthy conversations, provide accountability, and most importantly, walk you through this stage of your marriage and into a marriage full of passion, commitment and intimacy.

Keep in touch!

In case you haven’t picked up on this yet, we’ll spell it out. We’re in this together and we’re not going anywhere. After you’ve worked so hard to build the passion, intimacy, and commitment your marriage needs, we’re not content to let you return to the isolation that fosters poor communication, conflict avoidance, and sustained discontent. Please know the Hamners are Pastoral Counselors and Relationship Coaches not Licensed Counselors. While many people do require the assistance of a Licensed Professional Counselor, often the work of a Pastoral Counselor or Relationship Coach can provide the insight and tools to help a couple resolve the barriers keeping them from the satisfying relationship they desire.
