With over thirty years as Marriage and Family Educators and Pastoral Counselors, Curt and Rhonda Hamner offer wise, biblical and practical relationship coaching. Professionally trained in a unique set of leadership skills as coaches, we help you identify important goals and priorities, guiding you as you strategize how to reach them and overcome obstacles that crop up along the way. Experienced in years of pastoral care, as pastors, we can help recognize the emotional and spiritual dynamics of your relationship. Certified and practicing together as a couple, we can guide you to tools and disciplines that will move you in new directions in your communication. As skilled listeners, the Hamners provide insight, direction and practical tools to grow your relationship to new levels of passion, commitment and intimacy. What is Marriage Coaching?
The number one predictor of Divorce is not the presence of conflict all marriages have conflict, the primary harbinger of difficulty and separation is the avoidance of conflict. Research shows that the greatest difference between couples who make it and those who don’t is that those who make it have the tools to deal with conflict. Coaching is an interactive process that helps couples to develop skills more rapidly and produce more satisfying results. Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their potential as a couple. The energy of the process is found in the coach’s ability to formulate powerful questions. Coaches are trained to listen, to observe and to customize their approach to individual couples’ needs. Coaching allows the coach to spend the time needed with a couple to genuinely hear and guide them to resources and tools that will make a difference, as soon as, possible. Between Two Trees Coaching can be done in person or over the phone; in some cases weekend intensives help jumpstart the process.
Please know the Hamners are Pastoral Counselors and Relationship Coaches not Licensed Counselors. While many people do require the assistance of a Licensed Professional Counselor, often the work of a Pastoral Counselor or Relationship Coach can provide the insight and tools to help a couple resolve the barriers keeping them from the satisfying relationship they desire.
