What can I expect at a B & B with a Purpose Weekend?
The retreat focuses on four conversations guided by our mentor host provided a safe fun and relaxed approach to consider the foundations of marriage based on both faith and research. These conversations become the groundwork for you as a couple to privately talk about the application to your own marriage. Ample time is provided for recreation and relaxation in an atmosphere that is both rustic and romantic. For those who desire to go a little deeper the mentor hosts are available for counseling and communication coaching.
Collins Lodge Bed and Breakfast Country Inn, Forest Home
The setting for the Bed and Breakfast with a Purpose Retreats is the Collins Lodge B & B in at Forest Home, a 60 minute drive from Orange County. Collins Lode is a 1928 early craftsman lodge boasting a breathtaking Great Room with enormous rock fire place and bedrooms decorated with mountain elegance. Modeled after the warmth and comfort of a fine, country bed &breakfast, Woodlands has seven individually appointed bedrooms to pamper you with country-style elegance. The cuisine is wonderfully prepared and served in your private dining area. Each guestroom has its own bathroom and sitting area. Collins Lodge includes a Great Room, stone fireplace, decks overlooking the creek and mountains, as well as, an elegant dining area. By its very nature — the Woodlands is a quiet place of community and conversations. Experience the sheer comfort of time together; your weekend schedule gives you an opportunity to spend time alone; you can ponder Scripture and chat with other guests…stimulating you to think about your marriage in a new light.
